The hometown talents of Quincy Hamilton and Hayden Smith are staying in Martin to further their academic and playing careers for the Skyhawks.

Hamilton was an all around athlete for Westview during his high school career. His career totals tallied up to 125 catches, 1,707 yards, and 32 touchdowns. Hamilton also rushed for 8 touchdowns and threw one during his time at Westview. On the defensive side of the ball, he totaled 292 tackles, 5 forced fumbles, 14 interceptions, and 28 pass breakups.

During his Charger career, Hayden Smith set the school record with 486 total tackles, including the record for most in a game with 30 against Huntingdon this past season. Smith racked up 25 tackles for loss. He also forced 3 fumbles and snagged 2 interceptions.

Their time at Westview was nothing short of impressive and successful. They helped lead the Chargers to back to back region titles by being a perfect 5-0 in both stretches. The 2021 season ended by the Chargers hoisting the state championship trophy after defeating Hampton 55-14. The accomplishments don't come without hard work, and Hamilton and Smith have proven themselves as work horses. Their sights are now set on beginning their college careers at UT Martin.
