The OVC announced that UT Martin Freshman Quarterback John Bacchus has been named Adidas OVC Newcomer of the Week. Bacchus wins the award after completing 26 of 40 passes for 312 passing yards and 1 touchdown in UT Martin's conference-opening win over Murray State. He also rushed for 37 yards and 1 touchdown to bring his total to 345 yards. The Skyhawk football team will be back in action on Saturday as they travel to take on Eastern Kentucky.
