UT Martin Tennis Earns First Win of Caitlyn Williams Era During Weekend Split

The UT Martin Tennis team continued its grueling start to the spring season with a weekend split in Alabama over the weekend. The Skyhawks opened the weekend at SEC powerhouse Alabama on Saturday, falling by a margin of 4-0. Amelia Campbell and Daphne Pratt battled hard in a doubles match at No.1 that wasn't completed and finished 3-2. In singles play, Aziza Aubin fought hard but came up short 6-3, 6-2. Sunday was a much better day for the Skyhawks as they defeated Alabama A&M 6-1, giving Caitlyn Williams her first win as the head coach at UT Martin. The Skyhawks rolled to a victory in doubles behind the tandem of Aziza Aubin and Mizuki Sakurai, before winning 5 of 6 matches in the singles side of things. The team returns to action on Friday as they travel to in-state opponent Tennessee, where Williams played from 2011-2015.
